Wow, what a great resource for researching and travelling into Baja. I was just thinking that I needed a vacation, too. Anyone know of any spots worth visiting for family fun, by the water, not too touristy? Thanks for any feedback!

Hello Salmomma,
If you want to get away for a little bit with the family, I would suggest renting a house at Las Gaviotas. It is a gated community with a private beach out front so you do not have to worry about huge crowds of people. Most of the houses have fully stocked kitchens, so you can bring down your own food and cook out on the patio as the sun sets. It is a great place to get away for a while without having to do a ton of traveling, and there is a good surf spot right out front. Las Gaviotas is only 45 minutes south of the San Diego/Tijuana border. For more information about rentals, visit www.baja-rentals.com (http://www.baja-rentals.com). Our friend Larry runs the rentals there and can help you out.
