San Felipe - Fall 2006

Hey Baja fans....here are some fun events coming up in San Felipe this fall. If you haven't been to sunny San Feleipe check it out. It's an easy five hour drive from San Diego.

I was at the shrimp festival on Friday night November 3rd. I managed to get a shrimp taco, shrimp Kabob and was working on my second beer when I, along with two of my friends, were physically arrested for having an open container of beer(purchased at the festival). After about an hour at the police station and $48.00 US/each we were out. The explanation by the corrupt officers was that we were not in the official shrimp festival area. We had walked back one street to buy a pancho from a street vendor. I for one will never go back to San Felipe!

feels too bad for you.

No one can do anything in that kind of situations were you would be put by Police Officers. But you also have to be careful some times during this festivals there were so much rush.
So, it's always be happen to some of them
I also face such kind of problems one time.

ok but now i don't want to remember that bad experience.

when you said about your experience.. i remembered my experience of a kind but not in san felipe...we(4 friends) were sitting at the pond with the Bacardi breezer some where around 09.30 pm. All of a sudden a patrol vehicle with its head lights off and the police men jumped out of the vehicle to catch us, at first impression we thought they are going to let us go because it was not complete alchohol, they took us to the station only after that we came to know that it was there target to submit 10 to 15 men under petty case from each station and ended up paying fine in the next moring and handed over our cell phones... it was really one of our fond memories to say...

ensenada bicycle ride will be so funny for the participants only and also tiresome.

I am very sorry to read with the mishap.

The festivals held in the city are something to watch out for. I think those were fun and I do hope to experience those someday.

I know that The Shrimp Festival is November 5th - 8th this year. I and my friend had a plan to take part in this festival . Hotel San Felipe is great hotel here.

We had two great weeks at the San Fillipe ...our second holiday there ...we requested one high floor Teide view and one lower floor for my brother and his wife .....they couldn't manage floor 13 !!! their first time there ......we were given the same room we had last year....The rooms were cleaned well every day ..linen changed every 3 days and towels changed when ever you wanted ...The hotel is in a lovely position, right on the front and an easy walk to the centre....They mostly seemed to be the same staff ......the food this year was much improved from last year.....
