For anyone looking for decent, affordable accommodations in Ensenada. We stayed at the Posada El Rey Sol for two nights in June. It's right in the middle of town, walk right out the door for restaurants, shops, bars, etc. Nothing fancy, but very reasonably priced at about $80 (US) per night for a safe, comfortable, very clean room with king bed. Nice perks - large TV (for those who want to hide rather than explore), coffee maker, bottled water, toiletries provided in the bathroom. Make sure to have a drink in the hotel bar - sit right up at the bar and the bartender Fernando will share some pretty amazing life stories with you! The restaurant El Rey Sol across the street is also great for a nice French/Mexican dinner.
