It was my understanding that there was some controversy over the land at Salsipuedes. I have seen that they are already doing some work on the development just south of Salsipuedes so perhaps this was just a rumor. Have you heard anything Roberta?

I am very interested in that development as well as Club Marena. What do you know about that?

Club Marena has been the high class condominium project in Rosarito for years. My husband and I bought a villa there 10 years ago and just sold it last year. We don't think there's another cove around that is as perfect as K-38.5 and we've been to a lot of resorts all over the world. The developer is honest and fair. It's getting more populated with 3 new towers being built but it's a great spot.

There are many other projects going up as we speak--about 20 being built and at least that many on the drawing boards to be built in Rosarito.

The project you may be referring to at Salipuedes is Las Ventanas and it's high class with all houses having great views. Located closer to Ensenada than Rosarito. Expensive but will be stunningly worthwhile! Everyone should check it out!!!

The same development company as Club Marena are developing the Baja Country Club, south of main Ensenada on Highway 1, between Estero Beach and La Bufadora. We just purchased a 1800 sq ft, 3 bdrm, 2 1/2 bath, 2 car garage on a 5000 sq ft lot for $154K. Both fairway and hillside home sites available, and several models (can be customized) are available. The development is great to work with. We signed papers in June, and house will be done November 25th. Check out:

I don't know what area of Baja you are looking in, but the homes at the Baja Country Club fall within your price range, even if you don't golf.

I doubt whether the price at the country club fall are more than other places. Better contact the nearest real estate dealer and discuss everything with him.
